Beetles of Michigan

The first, and until now, only attempt to compile a state-wide list of Michigan beetles was published by Hubbard and Schwarz in 1878, over 140 years ago! At that time, they listed over 2000 species. In this online paper, we have greatly expanded that initial list and now recognize over 3700 valid beetle species from Michigan and are still verifying more than 400 other species that likely occur.
